A water-insoluble porous cross-linked polymeric matrix contains a hair treatment substance in its pores, the pores being interconnected to permit the substance to be released therefrom, preferably with zero order release, without change in pore geometry. In use, the matrix is contacted with hair, so that the hair treatment substance is leached therefrom on to the hair. Hair treatment articles such as combs or hair dryer tines can be made of, or coated with, a matrix of the invention. |
