A diagnostic sheet for mapping the condition of a wound is selectively reactive over at least part of it's area with one or more analytes present in wound fliud. The sheet may be placed directly onto the wound for mapping or may have a further wound contacting absorbent layer. The sheet typically contains an immuno binding reagent for the analyte of interest in the wound fluid e.g. a monoclonal antibody or may contain a colorimetric, chemiluminescent or fluorogenic substrate. The sheet may comprise gelatin, cellulose, starch, gums or polypropylene etc. Analytes of interest in the fluid are typically enzymes, cytokines, collagens, growth factors or protease inhibitors. |
