abstract A multi-unit air-conditioner includes an exterior unit 1, interior units 2-4, and remote-controllers 5, 10. All interior units operate in the same condition. One or both remote-controllers 5, 10 transmit a desired operating condition to the associated internal unit 2, 4, and the internal unit operates in the requested condition. The exterior unit 1 then collects operation data relating to the operating condition of each of the interior units 2,4 determines a required operation condition (which is based on the operating conditions already in use) and transmits the required operation condition to each interior unit so that they all operate in the same condition. The internal units transmit their operation condition to the remote-controllers 5, 10.
