abstract | This invention relates to veterinary formulations comprising vitamin B 12 and calcium borogluconate for the treatment of milk fever and/or vitamin B 12 or cobalt deficiency, particularly in ruminants. The formulations disclosed are effective in the treatment of milk fever in cattle and sheep, particularly animals having vitamin B 12 deficiency. Furthermore, the chemical constituents are stable at the relatively low pH of the formulations. The invention also relates to a method of manufacture of these formulations, and the use of the formulations in veterinary medicine. |
