titleOfInvention | Hot-melt jet-ink composition comprising a glycerol ester of an hydrogenated rosin |
abstract | A hot-melt jet-ink composition comprises a colourant and a glycerol ester of an hydrogenated rosin, which rosin preferably has a softening point of 60 to 100 DEG C and/or an acid number of less than 10 and/or a molecular weight of 500 to 50000, and may comprise 15 to 75% by weight. There may be a microcrystalline wax, preferably in an amount of 15 to 70% by weight, together with, optionally, a polyethylene wax, preferably having a melting point of 90 to 110 DEG C, a density of 0.85 to 0.95 g/cm<3> and an average molecular weight of 2000 to 4500. The colourant, which may be a dyestuff or pigment, is preferably in an amount of 0.5 to 3.0% by weight. |
