| abstract |
Apparatus for molding a fibrous material mainly containing waste paper, is composed of a cylindrical casing (2) with a port (1) for receiving raw material, a rotary screw (3) for feeding the material and a molding/discharging member (6) which compresses the material into a specific shape and discharges the compressed material. A cutter may be provided either internally or externally of the member (6). In different embodiments the screw may diminish in pitch towards the outlet (as shown) or its thread may become shallower; the casing may taper towards the outlet or it may be formed with internal axial channels; the screw may terminate at a distance from the member (6) so as to leave a space; two inlets for raw material may be provided; an inlet for water may be provided. The end product may be used in agriculture, e.g as compost or growing material. <IMAGE> |
