abstract | In an image transferring device a rotating reflector 14 is driven by a motor 16 and is positioned to intercept a collimated light beam 11, an imaging lens 12 focussing the light beam onto film 22. A motor and lead screw 13 advance the mirror 14 in a direction along its axis of rotation so that the light beam scans an image portion of the film. The lens 12 may be positioned before or after the mirror 14, and may rotate with it. The mirror may be multifacetted. The film 22 may be attached to a cylindrical drum and, if light sensitive, be used to record images. By providing and ellipsoidal mirror 24, dichroic mirrors 33, 36 and detectors 28, 30, 32, the light beam can alternatively be used to read an image on the film 22. <IMAGE> |
