| abstract |
A liquid carrier fluid that is used as a carrier system to suspend and deliver water soluble polymers which act to adjust the rheological properties of the aqueous systems to which they are added. The carrier fluid comprises:- a) 0.2 - 59% one or more water soluble polysaccharides (especially xanthan); b) 40 - 98.8% water soluble, polyethylene glycol or thickened polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight between about 150 and about 600; c) 1 - 6% one or more viscosified polyol fluid components (especially glycerin); and d) 0.1 - 10%, based on polyol weight, of one or more viscosifying polysaccharides (especially welan or rhamsan gum). |
