An antigen (protein or glycoprotein) which: (i) is obtainable from the endothelial cells of a large vessel or from monocytes. (ii) binds specifically to antibodies indicative of rejection, especially chronic rejection, of a transplanted organ and/or indicative of a pathological condition, especially vasculopathy, associated with rejection, especially chronic rejection, of a transplanted organ. The antigen may be used either to detect antibodies indicative or organ transplant rejection or associated pathological conditions, or in a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment thereof. |
