abstract |
Process for the assay of a specific protein in a mixture comprises: (i) fluorescently-labelling the amino acids of the said protein; (ii) chromatography of an aliquot of said mixture using reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography; (iii) detection of the fluorescence. The protein, which may be a recombinat protein, for example TGF alpha PE40ab, may be labelled by covalently binding monobromobimane to a protein of interest bearing sulfhydryl groups, particularly in cysteine. |
