An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises an electrically conductive support 1 and in either order a carrier generation layer 2, a carrier transport layer 3 both with a binder resin, wherein at least one of the layers comprises a copolymer having a structural unit represented by Formula B1 and B2; <IMAGE> wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or an aryl group, R1 and R2 may combine to form a cyclic hydrocarbon having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a cyclic hydrocarbon residue having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, or an aryl group, l, m, p and q are 1 to 4. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has high sensitivity and high durability. There is preferably an intermediate layer 5. Layer 3 may also contain a compound containing a hindered phenol group or a hindered amine group or both groups. <IMAGE> |
