An air bag cover 1 comprises a tear line 2a formed by recessed portions 4 spaced apart from each other in a row on the inner surface 1a of the cover 1. The top ends 4a, 4b of the recessed portions 4 are pointed towards each adjacent recessed portion 4 with each pointed end 4a, 4b being offset from a centre line 400 of the recessed portion 4. The recessed portions, which can be located in a groove 3 can be trapezoidal, trigonal or arcuate in shape. The cover can comprise a two layered lamination structure of a rigid base layer and a soft outer layer. <IMAGE> |
