abstract The use of a combination of ibuprofen and codeine in the ratio 15:1 to 25:1 ibuprofen to codeine in the treatment of pain associated with chronic medical conditions. The ratio of ibuprofen to codeine is preferably 20:1. A preferred unit dose comprises 300mg ibuprofen and 20mg codeine phosphate (equivalent to 14.8mg codeine).
