abstract A hollow structural part of a vehicle such as a door frame S is filled with a high density foamed polyurethane resin to prove sound and vibration insulation by the following steps: n n  (i) A foamable rubber layer is provided on the inner surface of the part, and in an assembly step of the vehicle body construction such as a painting step, is heated to provide an expanded mass 18' having an opening A n  (ii) A relatively sort foamed polyurethane member 23 is inserted in the opening A at sections 11, 12 of the frame to provide a dam to block the hollow part n  (iii) A foamable high density polyurethane composition is poured into the space defined by the dams and hardened to fill the space. n n<IMAGE>
