Synergistically active veterinary compositions, useful particularly for the treatment of masitis and metritis comprise, based on 1 part by weight of 6, 9, 18-tris (2-aminoethyl)-15-benzyl-21 -[2, 8-bis (2-aminoethyl)-5-(1-hydroxyethyl)-15- methyl-4, 7, 10-trioxo-3,6,9-triazaheptadecanamidol]-3-(1 -hydroxyethyl)-12-isobutyl-1, 4,7, 10, 13, 16, 19-heptaazacyclotricosane- 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20-heptaone (polymixin B) or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, 1 to 1000 parts by weight of 1-(2-chlorophenyl)-diphenylmethyl-1 H-imidazole (clotrimazole) or 1 to 400 parts by weight of 2- methyl-5, 7-dichloro-8-hydroxyquinoline (chlorquinaldol), respectively, optionally in admixture with carriers and/or additives commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry. |
