Colour recording material containing leuco dyes, and image-forming therewith |
abstract |
A support, is coated with a sensitive layer containing at least two leuco dyes each capable of forming, on contact with a developer, colors of different hue, and preferably forming yellow, magenta and cyan; the equilibrium constant of the reactions between the dyes and a developer (e.g. zinc 3.4-di-methylbenzene salicylate) are not lower than 0.05. They preferably contain a lactone ring. n<??>The recording material may be sensitive to heat, light or pressure; the dye, e.g. in microcapsules, is brought into contact with developer in the same material or in a receiving material after exposure. n<??>Multi-layer silver halide light-sensitive material is described. e.g. containing polymerizable compound and reducing agent, and it is developed simultaneously with or after imagewise exposure. Heat-sensitive material may contain an organic silver salt. n<??>The material gives good images of uniform and stable color balance. |
