| abstract | The liquid oxygenated compounds other than methyl alcohol obtained, as described in the parent Specification and in Specification 215,776, by the reduction of oxides of carbon by hydrogen in presence of catalysts, are used as motor spirit. They may be hydrogenated or fractionally distilled, and may be mixed with methyl alcohol or other motor fuel. Specification 238,319, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], also is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the use of the liquid hydrocarbons produced at the same time, and of the mainly hydrocarbon product obtained by the process described in Specification 20488/13, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.]. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
