titleOfInvention Image density adjustment
abstract A variable magnification slit-scan computer-controlled photocopier, which employs a photoconductive drum, has alternative automatic and manual density control modes. Switching between automatic and manual control modes is effected by a key 206, the operative mode being shown by a display 220 or 221 respectively. Automatic control is in response to light falling on a photosensor (121, Fig. 1). Manual control is effected by a knob 207. <IMAGE>
