titleOfInvention A compound with analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity, a process for producing same and related pharmaceutical compositions
abstract N-(2-pyridyl)-[1,4-dimethyl-5-(4- chlorobenzoyl)]-2-pyrrolacetamide, of formula I: <IMAGE> can be prepared by reacting an ester, preferably the cyanomethyl ester, of 1,4-dimethyl-5-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-2- pyrrolacetic acid with a molar excess of 2-aminopyridine at from 70 to 200 DEG C, thereby producing a compound possessing analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity and capable of formulation into pharmaceutical preparations useful in the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
