1- beta -D-arabinofuranosyladenine derivatives represented by the formula (I): <IMAGE> wherein R<1> designates hydrogen or an acyl group and R<2> designates a hydroxyl group, a phosphoric acid residue or an alkyl-or alkenylphosphate residue; or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are disclosed as being effective for enhancing anti-tumor effect afforded by irradiation to or administration of an anti-tumor pharmaceutical to tumor- bearing animals. |
