abstract A method of manufacturing a powder of soft-shelled turtles includes a pasteurizing step, a drying step, and a communiting step at a temperature of equal to or less than -50 degrees centigrade, e.g. in liquid nitrogen. Foodstuffs may contain the powder as an ingredient, the powder being in tablet or granular form. The powder can also be enclosed in gelative capsules, having been admixed with wheat germ oil and, if desired, vitamin E.
