Electrochemical chlorine sensor |
abstract |
An electrochemical chlorine sensor comprises a measuring electrode (6) formed from a compound of ruthenium, iridium, osmium, molybdenum or tungsten which is conductive at room temperature. The compound is preferably an oxide and/or halide, and preferably a chloride. Preferred compounds are RuO2 and/or RuCl3. The sensor preferably comprise a solid electrolyte 4 conducting by chloride ions and a solid reference which may be a metal/metal halide mixture or a mixture of metal halides. <IMAGE> |
