abstract Novel substituted amidinohydrazones of Formula I <IMAGE> wherein R is a C2-C4alkylene chain which may optionally be substituted with one to four C1-C3alkyl group(s) or with one phenyl group, -CH2-CH=CH-CH2-, <IMAGE> X1 and X2 each are halogen, CF3, CHF2O, CF3O, CHF2CH2O, CHF2S, C1-C2alkyl, C1-C3alkoxy, C1-C3alkylthio, C1-C3alkylsulfinyl or C1-C3 alkylsulfonyl; Y and Y' each are -CH2- or <IMAGE> with the proviso that at least one of Y and Y' must be <IMAGE> Z is -CH2- or -C(CH3)2-; n is 0 or 1; and when n is 1, Y and Y' must be <IMAGE> and with the further proviso that when R is a <IMAGE> then Y and Y' both may also be hydrogen, and when R is <IMAGE> and Y and Y' are both hydrogen, then X1 and X2 each must be selected from halogen, CF3, CHF2O, CF3O, CHF2CF2O, CHF2S, C1-C3 alkoxy or C2-C3, are useful as insect control agents.
