A building material mixture contains fibres on the basis of polyacrylonitrile and binders, preferably inorganic hydraulic binders and optionally further additives. The mixture is characterised in that it comprises polyacrylonitrile or Modacryl fibres or fibres on the basis of a polymer mixture of polyacrylonitrile or a starting copolymerisate for Modacryl fibres with a foreign polymer, each of said fibres having fibre titres of 0.1 to 2 d/tex and fibre strengths of 20 to 80 cN/tex at fibre elongations of 30 to 5 percent, optional additional components include synthetic, organic, optionally fibrillated fibres and/or synthetic organic fibrids, and fibrous inorganic additives. The new building material mixture is excellently suited for the preparation of shaped bodies due to its high binder retention and assures increased strengths in the products prepared from it. |
