Blood grouping serum containing antibodies specific to human blood antigens and capable of direct agglutination of red blood cells without enhancing the spontaneous agglutination of immunoglobulin- coated cells, are produced by treating whole serum or a fraction containing IgG antibodies, separating IgM and IgG, reducing and thereby breaking disulfide bonds in the IgG, fixing the reduced IgG to prevent re-oxidation, and recombining with IgG. |
