The materials, which reduce the so called "rusty bolt" effect which occurs at junctions in metal structures when they are irradiated by high power transmitters due to non- linearities in the junctions, are interposed at the junctions and comprise a non water soluble substance having a high dielectric constant (greater than 10). Suitable materials, which may take the form of a liquid or viscous composition, include, for example, ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose plasticised with castor oil in admixture with barium or barium/strontium titanate plus small additions of tin, calcium or manganese. Such materials form part of the invention. |
