titleOfInvention Method of obtaining polymers of acrylic series
abstract A method of obtaining polymers of acrylic series comprising polymerization of starting monomers at a total concentration of 40% by weight in the presence of radical initiators. The polymerization is carried out at the temperature of decomposition of the initiator used and is continued until obtaining a gel effect. After that the reaction stock is cooled down to a temperature of glass-transition of the polymer and a conversion degree of 50 to 90%. The thus obtained pre-polymer is then granulated and dried with a heat carrier, for example air, consecutively under regimes of pneumatic transport, cyclone, fluidized bed and filter bed. The method of obtaining polymers of acrylic series can be used in production of water-soluble polymer materials used as surface-active agents for industrial sewage and in the drilling technology, and as flotation agents in ore- and coal-mining industries.
