titleOfInvention | Continuous Solvent-free Process for Producing Copper Phthalocyanines |
abstract | A continuous solvent-free process for producing Cu-phthalocyanine of the formula <IMAGE> wherein Ft represents a phthalocyanine radical, R1 and R2 each represents a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom or a SO3Me group, Me represents a hydrogen atom, a sodium atom, a potassium atom, an NH4+ group, a barium atom or a calcium atom through a reaction of phthalic acid, which is optionally in the form of the sodium salt or anhydride, amide or imide thereof, or monosodium salt of chlorophthalic acid or potassium salt of sulphophthalic acid together with phthalanhydride, with a mixture of urea, compounds of copper and ammonium molybdate, optionally in the presence of inorganic salts at a temperature of from 180 to 260 DEG C in a stream of an inert gas wherein an amount of Cu-phthalocyanine is introduced to the reaction vessel before the reaction in a ratio by weight of Cu-phthalocyanine to mixture of reacting compounds of at least 3:1. |
