A glucoamylase enzyme preparation having optimum glucoamylase activity at pH 6-6.5 at 60 DEG C may be obtained from a culture of a microorganism of genus Stachybotrys. The enzyme is used to saccharify a liquified starch to give improved yields of dextrose. |
