titleOfInvention LPG vaporization system
abstract A system for vaporizing LPG, especially liquid butane, comprises a storage tank 10 for storing the LPG above ground level, which tank has a conventional filling inlet and a conventional vaporized gas outlet 20 connectable to a consumer point 23 by a valved line 21, 22; a heat exchange coil 16 sunk into the soil in the proximity of tank 10; a valved feed inlet line 13, 14, 15 to the coil 16 from the lower region of tank 10; and a valved outlet line 17, 18, 19 from the coil 16 to the upper region of tank 10. A minor flow of LPG is passed into coil 16, is vaporized therein by heat exchange with the surrounding soil, and the vapour is fed to the upper region of tan 10, thereby supplementing the naturally occurring vaporization in the tank 10 without recourse to energy-consuming heating devices. <IMAGE>
