titleOfInvention Liquid concentrated developer composition, ready to mix with water, for use in colour photography
abstract A developer for use in colour photography comprises a plurality of concentrated compositions intended to be mixed with water to form a development bath in which a first concentrated composition comprises a liquid composition substantially free of water including a p- phenylenediamine compound, and optionally other components of the developer such as antioxidants, dissolved in an organic solvent, and a second composition comprises an aqueous alkaline composition. The use of an organic solvent allows a concentrated developer system to be formulated in two or more parts which are storage stable and readily mixed with water to provide the development bath.
