abstract | The present invention provides penicillanic acid derivatives of the general formula:- <IMAGE> wherein n is a whole number of from 1 to 11, R is a hydrogen atom or a radical of the formula <IMAGE> and R1 is a hydrogen or halogen atom or a hydroxyl or nitro group or an alkoxy radical containing up to 4 carbon atoms or an alkyl radical containing up to 4 carbon atoms and wherein one or more of the hydrogen atoms in R and in the -CH2- groups can also be replaced by tritium. The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of these compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing them. |
