Sewing-machines; lock-stitching ; needles, driving; governing needle thread; presser-bars, locking ; feed by dog.-The needle-bar d slides in a groove in a presser-bar c and is actuated by a cam-lever y. The presser-bar is intermittently locked by a pawl x when a pin 2 on the needle lever y releases the pawl. The needle-thread take-up lever m is actuated by a cam-projection l on the wheel i. The shuttle is oscillated by a toothed segment 20. The feed-dog 26, Fig. 2, is carried on a shaft eccentrically mounted within the spindle 22 of the segment 20, and is given feeding movements by the faces of an extension 23 of that spindle. The feed is regulated by means of the contact screws 24, 27.
