titleOfInvention | Improvements in the Process for the Manufacture of Acyl Sulphuric Acids and the Alkali and Earth Alkali Metal Salts of Acyl Sulphuric Acids. |
abstract | 12,130. Marks, E. C. R., [Naamlooze Vennootschap Fabriek van Chemische Produkten]. May 24. Acidylsulpluric acids; acetylchloride.-Acidylsulphnric acids are prepared by treating monocarboxylic anhydrides with sulphuric acid, or monocarboxylic acids with sulphuric anhydride, or a mixture of a monocarboxylic acid and a monocarboxylic anhydride, with sulphuric acid or its anhydride or a mixture of both such as fuming sulphuric acid, in all cases below 0‹ C. The alkali and alkalineearth salts result by treatment of the acids with salts of organic acids or of halogenhydrides, acetylchloride being simultaneously formed in the case of acetylsnlphuric acid and sodium chloride. |
