[Addition to 11,530/13.] Vulcanizing.-In order to promote the vulcanization of natural or artificial caoutchouc, the derivatives of piperidine or its homologues are added in addition to sulphur. For example 100 parts of Para are vulcanized at 135-145‹ C. for fifteen minutes with 10 parts of sulphur and 1 part of the piperidine salt of piperidyldithio-carbamic acid. Other suitable compounds are monopiperidyl-urea, N-thiopiperidine and benzaldipiperidyl. Specifications 17,734/10 and 25,850/10, [both in Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], are referred to. |
