abstract | 3660. Bloxam, A. G., [Akt.-Ges. f³r Anilin-Fabrikation]. Feb. 12. Sulphuretted dyes are obtained by treating with sulphurizing agents a mixture of an alkyl derivative of p-oxydiphenylamine with an aromatic amine or diamine. According to examples, mixtures of p<1>-methyl-p-oxydiphenylamine with alpha- or #-naphthylamine, benzidine, or 3-aminocarbazole, are employed; sulphur, alkali polysulphide, or sulphur and caustic soda are the sulphurizing - agents specified. The following parent materials are also specified: -m<1>-methylpoxydiphenylamine. o<1>-p<1>-dimethyl-p-oxydiphenylamine; aniline, p-chloraniline, mphenylenediamine, m-toluylenediamine, and 1:5- naphthylenediamine. The products dye cotton from alkali sulphide baths or hydrosulphite vats, generally brown to black shades. |
