[Patent of Addition to No. 15,138, A.D. 1907.] Samples furnished under Section 2 of Patents &c. Act, 1907. Dyes, artificial.-Dye-stuffs which dye chromemordanted wool greenish-blue, are produced by condensing gallocyanines derived from gallamic acid with ammonia in presence of an aromatic nitrohydrocarbon. The products can be diazotized and combined with the usual azo-components. In an example the gallocyanine from nitrosodiethylaniline and gallamic acid is condensed with ammonia in presence of dinitrobenzene.
