Cylinders, construction, of and cooling. - The lever A is supported by a ring B which is smaller internally than the flanges a, a<1> of the liner as in Specification 175,738. To the ring is attached a thin water jacket D which makes a water-tight joint with the flange a<1>. Water passes to the cylinder cover, to which the ring is bolted, through holes b<1> and ferrules b<2> in the ring. Water is supplied to the jacket through longitudinal holes a<3> in the lower flanges a<1> from an annular chamber E attached to the liner. The cylinder body C may accommodate one or more liners, and each liner is surrounded by a ring F containing an air admission port a<2> and an exhaust port f<1>. |
