abstract N-Alkoxy-2,6-dinitro-N-substituted 4-substituted anilines have the following formula <IMAGE> in which R<1> denotes methyl or ethyl, R<2> is hydrogen, C1-C3-alkyl or C3-C4-alkenyl and R<3> is methyl, ethyl, isopropyl or trifluoromethyl. Herbicides contain, as the active component, at least one new compound of the formula I. Processes are described for the preparation of the new compounds.
