Trawling - gear; nets.-The front portion a, b, c, d of a trawl-net is provided with an extension p, a float q and a third cable 3. The extension p deflects fish towards the net, and the third cable 3 and float q keeps the back of the net at 30 degrees from the vertical. The net is towed by cables 1, 2, 3 fastened aft on the trawler and raised by hauling the cables 1 and 2 from fore and aft respectively and the cable 3 from the centre of the trawler. |
