abstract 1537287 Detergent compositions PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 1 April 1976 [2 April 1975 (2)] 13208/76 Heading C5D Particulate detergent compositions comprise (a) from 5 to 50% by wt. of a water-soluble alkyl or alkenyl benzene sulphonate wherein the alkyl or alkenyl is C 10 -C 12 , a water-soluble C 10 -C 13 alkyl or alkenyl sulphate, or mixtures thereof, this component being substantially free from C 13 and higher alkyl or alkenyl benzene sulphonates and of C 15 and higher alkyl or alkenyl sulphates, and (b) from 0À1 to 3À0% by wt. of a soil release component which is an alkyl cellulose ether, a hydroxyalkyl cellulose ether or a hydroxyalkyl alkyl cellulose ether. The cellulose ether may by a C 1 -C 4 alkyl cellulose ether, a hydroxy- C 1 -C 4 alkyl cellulose ether or a corresponding hydroxyalkyl alkyl cellulose ether. The composition may comprise sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium NTA, a seeded builder such as sodium and calcium carbonates, sodium silicate, a zeolite, sodium sulphate and a proteolytic enzyme. The compositions are intended to provide soil-release properties to fabrics during laundering.
