titleOfInvention Insecticidal compositions which exhibit a synergistic effect
abstract 1535910 Insecticides AIRWICK AG 18 Feb 1977 [20 Feb 1976] 54174/77 Divided out of 1536021 Heading A5E An insecticidal composition contains at least two of the following active materials (a), (b) and (c): (a) O, O-dimethyl O-(2-methoxy carbonyl-prop-1-enyl) phosphorothioate (DMPTP) (b) O, O-dimethyl S-(4-aza-6-chloro-2-oxobenzoxazol-3-yl) methyl phosphorothioate (azamethiphos) and (c) O, O-dimethyl-O-(3- methyl-4-nitrophenyl) phosphorothioate (fenitrothion). Compound (c) is also called O, O- dimethyl S- [6-chloro-oxazolo (4, 5-6)-2(3H)- pyridin-3-one]-methyl phosphorothioate. Compositions comprising any of the above in combination with an ortho-substituted phenyl- N-methyl carbamate which are described and claimed in the parent Specification, are expressly disclaimed. The ratio of the active materials in the combination may be from 0.2 to 5 parts of one for each part of the other. The composition may also contain, as adjuvants, a foodstuff, surface-active agent, dyestuff, pigment, stabiliser, solid or liquid diluent or propellant compatible with the active materials used. Preferred stabilisers include magnesium carbamate, a buffer salt of pH 6 to 7, an epoxidised compound or a fatty monoester of sorbitan.
