1533039 Photographic colour coupler containing phosphorus FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 6 Aug 1976 [8 Aug 1975] 32956/76 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2 and C4] A photographic silver halide material or aqueous alkaline colour developing solution having a pH above 8 contains a coupler where the hydrogen atom at the coupling position is substituted with a group of the Formula:- where R and R', the same or different, are each alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio in which groups the alkyl has 1-32C and may be cycloalkyl, or R and R', the same or different, are alkenyl, aryl, aryloxy or amino, each of which groups may be substituted, or R and/or R' can additionally be OH; and X is O or S. Couplers 33 and 41 are dimeric. Couplers 1, 4, 9, 26 and 27 are preferably incorporated in the developing solution (see Ex 6); couplers 2, 8, 18, 19, 21 and 37 are preferably incorporated in the material (see Ex 1-5 and 8). Coupler 14 releases a diffusible dye on exposure and development and is used in a diffusion transfer process (see Ex 7). Example 5 discloses a combination of couplers and Example 3 discloses a combination of a coupler and sensitizing dye. |
