abstract 1531123 Electrophoretic coating compositions KANSAI PAINT CO Ltd 4 June 1977 23823/77 Heading C3B An electrophoretic coating composition comprises, as binder, an acid neutralized product prepared from: (I) an epoxy resin-amine adduct, (II) a polyaminoamide, and (III) a partially blocked polyisocyanate. Either I and III or II and III may be prereacted prior to admixture with or reaction with II or I respectively. I is prepared by reacting an epoxy resin with a compound containing at least one basic amino group. II must contain at least one basic amino group. III contains an average of more than zero to not more than one free isocyanate group per molecule.
