abstract 1526242 Fluorescing chromophone conjugates SYNTEX ENERGY RESEARCH Inc and VARIAN ENERGY [Trading as SYVA CO] 12 Aug 1975 [12 Aug 1974 30 June 1975] 18719/78 Divided out of 1526241 Heading C2C A test reagent comprises fluorescein isothiocyanate conjugated to O<SP>3</SP>-aminoethylmorphine, the reagents used in the test (see Specification 1,526,241) generally comprising a fluorescing chromophene having an extinction coefficient of at least 10<SP>4</SP> at a wavelength greater than 400 nm. conjugated to an alkaloid, methadone, meperidine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, glutethimide, diphenylhydantoin, benzdiazocycloheptane, phenothiazine, barbiturate, catechlolamine drug, meprobamate, tepetol, succinimide drug, cannabinol, tetra hydrocannabinol, steroid, cardiotonic glycoside or a glycone, saponin or saprogenin, mono- or polysaccharide or polyiodothyronine. Fluorescein isothiocyanate is prepared by reacting fluorescein amine with thiophosgene.
