titleOfInvention | Fibrereactive disperse dyes their manufacture and use |
abstract | 1523044 Reactive disperse dyes CIBA-GEIGY AG 21 May 1976 [26 May 1975 (2)] 21125/76 Heading C4P The invention comprises reactive disperse dyes of the general formula wherein R 1 is H or alkyl, R 2 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, or R 1 and R 2 together with the linking N atom may form a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic ring, R 3 is H or alkyl, R 4 is a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group substituted in the α-, or in the α- and #-positions by halogen, or is an α,#- unsaturated alkene radical optionally substituted in the α- or #-position by halogen, A is an alkylene or cycloalkylene radical which optionally contains oxygen or sulphur, X is H, Cl, Br, CN or COOR 5 and R 5 is alkyl. They are prepared by reacting an anthraquinone compound of the general formula with an acylating agent which acylates the -OH group and introduces the fibre reactive group -COR 4 . Suitable acylating agents are anhydrides, or acid halides of aliphatic carboxylic acids R 4 COOH. The reaction takes place at 20-80‹ C. in presence of an acid acceptor, e.g. sodium carbonate, potassium acetate, sodium hydroxide or an organic amine and a solvent, e.g. acetone, dioxane, methyl ethyl ketone, toluene, chlorobenzene, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethane and dimethylformamide. The dyes are used to dye or print (especially transfer printing) p.v.c., polyamides and polyurethanes, polyesters, polymers and copolymers of acrylonitrile and asymmetric dicyanoethylene, wool and unions thereof with synthetic and natural materials. |
