1520522 Silylated 16-methyleneprostaglandins; cyclodextrin clathrates ONO PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 7 May 1976 [16 June 1975] 25591/75 Addition to 1449882 Headings C3S and C3U [Also in Division C2] The invention comprises cyclodextrin clathrates of 1b methyleneprostaglandins of the Formula IV wherein A is a grouping of the Formula II or III; R<1> is H or C1-6 alkyl, R<2> is H or C1-12 alkyl and X is trans-vinylene or ethylene, and their preparation by known methods. The invention also comprises trimethylsilyl derivatives of the Formula VII wherein R<5> is C1-12 alkyl; TMS is trimethylsilyl and R<1> and X are as defined above; and then preparation by known methods. Methyl 9alpha - hydroxy - 16 - methylene - 11alpha, 15alphabis(trimetlylsilyloxy) - prost - trans - 13 - enoate is obtained by silylating 16-methyleneprostaglandin F1alpha methyl ester. |
