1519119 Benzene-azo- 2-hydroxynaphthoic acid amide pigments HOECHST AG 25 Feb 1977 [27 Feb 1976] 08100/77 Heading C4P Novel pigments of the Formula (I) wherein R is either methyl or ethyl are prepared by conventional diazotization and coupling. The product may be subjected to an after treatment comprising heating in an aqueous or organic medium at from 80 to 150C or 80 to 180C respectively. The pigments may be used in colouring plastic or resinous materials e.g. PVC, polyolefines, polyamides, polyurethanes, polyglycol terephthalates or polyacrylonitrile; caoutchouc, paper, viscose rayon, printing paste or ink, lacquers and paints in red shades. |
