titleOfInvention Insecticidal composite
abstract 1516657 Insecticidal composition BASF AG 16 Oct 1975 [23 Oct 1974] 42415/75 Heading A5E An insecticidal composition comprises a polyethylene felt carrier impregnated with an insecticidal phosphoric acid ester. The preferred polyethylene felt is composed of fibrils having a length of 0.5 - 30mm, a thickness of 1-30Á and a specific surface area of 1-80 m<SP>2</SP>/g obtained by flashing a solution of the polymer in an organic solvent through a die orifice into a space containing a liquid or gaseous medium under low pressure. The preferred insecticide is 0, 0-dimethyl-0-(2, 2 dichlorovinyl) phosphate. The polyethylene fibrils may be rendered hydrophilic by a melamine-formaldehyde polycondensate as a dispersing auxiliary and an anionic protective colloid as dispersing assistant.
