The examples describe compositions comprising polybutylene terephthalate, optionally copolymerized with sebacic acid or 1,3-di-(2- hydroxyethyl) - 4,5,6,7 - tetrabromobenzimidazolone, polyethylene terephthalate copolymerized with the above benzimidazolone compound or a polyacetal, and the following cross-linkable substances: N,N<1>-4,4<1>-diphenylmethane - bis - maleimide, polyhexamethylene fumanate, tris - (methallyl)isocyanurate, 2,6- diallylphenylalkyl ether, a styrene copolymer and a bisdiene of the formula in which Y is the tetrachloro-p-xylylene group.
